Camille Bowness added to Caprice High Performance Staff

Burnaby Caprice is proud to announce the addition of Camille Bowness to our high performance national stream staff.

Camille Bowness grew up in Montreal, Quebec and has been involved with the Canadian synchronized swimming community since 2002. She discovered synchronized swimming at Beaconsfield Heights local outdoor pool and subsequently joined a competitive program at Dollard Synchro where she trained from 2002-2008.

Representing Quebec at the Canada Games in 2007, Camille won 3 gold medals (solo, duet, and team). She made her debut on the international stage in 2005 with the Canadian 13-15 team at the Comen cup in Athens. In 2006, she won solo, duet, and team gold medals at the junior Pan-Ams in Mexico. Her senior international competitions include notable performances at FINA World Championships in Rome 2009 (bronze medal), and Barcelona 2013. She retired from the sport in 2013 after 2 years on the Junior national team and 5 years on the Senior national team at the Center of Excellence in Montréal.

Post retirement she remained involved in the community by working with Dr. Mickael Begon (Synchro Canada’s acrobatic expert) in his Bio-mechanics Laboratory at the Université de Montréal in 2015. Camille graduated from McGill University in 2016 with a BSc. in physics and is currently pursuing an MSc. from Simon Fraser University at its Silicon Quantum Technology Lab.
